Colitis Collection (Colitis collectie)

Volle Maan Communications carried out this film project for the CCUVN (Dutch Crohn and Colitis Ulcerosa Association) and the Dutch Association for Gastroenterology, in collaboration with AbbVie and Dr. Falk Pharma. Eight people with the chronic intestinal illness colitis ulcerosa received a training on filmmaking and then filmed their daily lives. After a successful launch, the video diaries were published online at colitiscollectie.nl. Volle Maan Communications had already previously carried out a similar project for the CCUVN and AbbVie: the Crohn Jewels (Dutch title: Crohnjuwelen) film project. This project won the Medisch Contact Communication Prize in 2009, an award from doctors magazine Medisch Contact for demonstrable and repeatable improvements to the communications between doctors and patients.
